How do I actually put this online?
Your app works on your screen and you want a link you can send someone. Here's the whole landscape in plain English.
What "putting it online" means
Three things have to happen: your project's files get prepared for the web (a "build"), they get copied to a computer that's always on, and a web address gets pointed at them. Every option below does all three; they differ in how much of it you have to understand.
Your options, honestly compared
| option | good | the catch |
|---|---|---|
| your builder's own button | Lovable, Bolt and Replit each have a publish button that works well | your site lives inside that tool; switch tools (everyone does) and the setup doesn't come with you |
| developer hosts | Vercel and Netlify are excellent and free to start | built for engineers: build commands, output folders, environment settings; each unfamiliar term is a place to get stuck |
| a project home | Plyo publishes with one click to your own address, works with every tool, and adds a safety check before you go live | younger than the giants above; free tier is 3 projects |
The one-click path
- Create a free Plyo account and get your project in: connect your AI with one paste, import from GitHub, or drag your project folder onto the dashboard.
- Click Publish. Plyo detects what kind of project it is, prepares it, checks it for exposed secret keys, and puts it at
yourname.plyo.dev. - Send the link. Updates republish to the same address; if an update breaks something, restoring the working version is instant.
Two things worth knowing before any option
- Check for exposed keys first. AI tools sometimes leave secret keys visible in the app itself. Our 20-minute security check works for any tool's output.
- A failed update should never take your live site down. Ask that question of whatever host you pick. (On Plyo, it can't; the last good version keeps serving.)
Plyo is the home for AI-built projects — every version saved, one click to undo, one click to publish, plus a safety check, visitor counts and backups. Free to start: 3 projects, no card needed.
